Equivalency and Compatibility Request

This service will enable eligible partners currently enrolled in VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program Elite members and above to submit the Equivalency and Compatibility Request form, in accordance with the VMware Equivalency and Compatibility Guide.

For qualified programs:Once VMware confirms that the partner has successfully completed the certification testing, VMware will list the product in the online VMware Compatibility Guide.

Currently, this service is required and available only for TAP Elite level server/OEM vendors and storage array vendors as specified in VMware Equivalency and Compatibility Guide (available on VMware Partner Central).

Equivalency and Compatibility Request Details

Please note the following restrictions:

  • Only authorized TAP Elite members and above can purchase the SKU.
  • It is valid for one year after purchase and does not include VMware product updates or upgrades.
  • This per incident support service is non-refundable. An incident cannot be credited back or refunded even if the issue was resolved without help from a technical support engineer, for example: figuring it out yourself or finding the answer in the product documentation or Knowledge Base.
