Equivalency and Compatibility Request
This type of per-incident-support services will enable eligible hardware partners currently enrolled in VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program to submit the Equivalency and Compatibility Request form, in accordance with the VMware Equivalency and Compatibility Guide. Once VMware reviews and determines, in its sole discretion, to accept the request, partners can see their products being posted at VMware Compatibility Guide. without running full server or storage certification tests.
Currently, this service is required and available only for TAP Select level server/OEM vendors and storage array vendors as specified in VMware Equivalency and Compatibility Guide (available on VMware Partner Central).
Please note the following restrictions:
- To purchase this service, the partner has to be a current member of TAP program.
- Per incident support service is non-refundable.
- It is valid for one year after purchase and does not include VMware product updates or upgrades.
- An incident cannot be credited back or refunded even if the issue was resolved without help from technical support engineer (for example: finding the answer in the product documentation, Knowledge Base or on your own).
